Centenary Festival Solapur

The concluding ceremony of the Centenary Festival of Pune Sevasadan Society, Solapur Branch happened with great fanfare. Under that, various programs were organized between 19th April to 21st April 2023. On April 19, 2023, this three-day concluding ceremony was inaugurated by Ashwini Ganu, Executive President of Pune Sevasadan Society, Chintamani Patwardhan, General Secretary. In the morning session, a kirtan by national kirtan artist Charudatta Aphale on the topic of ‘Women’s Education’ was conducted. The former headmistress of V. M. Mehta School Mrs. Aparna Sahasrabuddhe hosted the show. In the second session, a melodious musical concert was held in the evening. Mr. Vilas Kulkarni, Mrs. Prajakta Deshpande and Meghambari Salunkhe enthralled the fans with their performances. Pt. Anand Badamikar, Shri. Shriram Kulkarni, Shri. Devendra Ayachit, Shri. Jayant Joshi and Shri. Jabbar Murshad accompanied the vocalists with their melodious music.

On 20th April 2023 at 5.00 PM a seminar on ‘Women’s Contribution to Education’ was held. Poet Dr. Varsha Todmal, Writer Mrinalini Joshi-Kanitkar, President of Precision Foundation Dr. Suhasini Shah and Pranititai Shinde shared their valuable thoughts. This conference was chaired by Dr. Suhasini Shah and interviewed by Dr. Priya Nighojkar. On 21 April 2023, the closing ceremony of the centenary year was celebrated with enthusiasm. On this occasion the former principal of the school Hon. Mrs. Sheela Pataki was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Mrs. Vanmala Kinikar was honored with the Shatabdi Special Merit Award. President of Jnana Prabodhini Pune presided over this program. Girish Bapat. On this occasion, the president of Pune Sevasadan Society Hon. Varsha Paranjape, Vice President Hon. Mr. Nitin Lele, General Secretary Hon. Mr. Chintamani Patwardhan and president of Solapur branch Hon. Mrs. Sheela Mistry, Secretary Mrs. Veena Pataki, Director Dr. Shrikant Yelegaonkar, Dr. Rajiv Pradhan, Mr. Rajendra Gandhi was the prominent presence. On this occasion, a program of various performances was also held. Nandi started the program. The program concluded with Ramabai Ranade biopic, Yakshagana, followed by Shatabdi Gita.
